01

Overview

I owned commercial-excellence products in the Javelin Suite (Alignment Manager, Call Plan Manager and Application Catalyst), used by 1 million+ global users and partnering with 10 global pharma leaders including Pfizer, J&J, AbbVie, AstraZeneca and Novartis.

02

The Products

The suite spanned field alignment, commercial call planning and a low-code application platform:

  • Javelin Alignment Manager · territory and field alignment for pharma sales organizations.
  • Javelin Call Plan Manager · optimized call plans, HCP targeting, CRM integration and route optimization.
  • Javelin Application Catalyst · a low-code platform to build configurable commercial apps without heavy engineering.
03

Discovery Inputs

I triangulated signal from many sources: customer interviews, support ticket analysis, product usage analytics, NPS, Customer Success insights, sales feedback and consultant workshops. A clear pattern emerged: customers rarely asked for more features. They wanted simpler workflows, faster configuration, better performance, greater self-service and less dependency on consultants.

04

Product Strategy

Instead of treating every request as an isolated feature, I reorganized the roadmap around five strategic investment themes, led by self-service administration, and deprioritized low-impact customer-specific requests, legacy feature extensions, and obsolete or redundant workflows.

05

Execution

I led roadmap planning across four Javelin verticals while coordinating engineering, UX, QA, Customer Success and business stakeholders:

  • Delivered 35+ data-driven features across quarterly releases (50+ capabilities across the portfolio).
  • Led a 0-to-1 launch of a rep appointment scheduling platform.
  • Converted custom business rules into reusable platform capabilities.
  • Replaced instructor-led training with scalable self-paced learning.
06

Leadership

Beyond product ownership, I managed development goals for six direct reports within a 60-member delivery organization, ran roadmap review sessions with enterprise customers across NA, EU and APAC, and partnered with senior leadership on long-term investment strategy for products used by 100+ enterprise customers.

Reflection

The most important lesson was that enterprise product management is rarely about building the most features; it's about reducing customer effort at scale. The best decisions were often the ones customers didn't immediately notice: removing friction, simplifying workflows, and enabling customers to solve problems independently.
